The third stage of the Amgen Tour of California was held today starting in Modesto going over Mt. Hamilton and down into San Jose. But if the weather had been bad enough in the hills today, the racers would have been tooling through Livermore between noon and 1:30pm this afternoon, as we were the alternate route. Take a look at this live feed of the race and realize this is being watched in Europe and actually around the world. I had hoped to be out there taking my own pictures this afternoon, but oh well maybe next year. This is a great event and the live feed reported that so far 400,000 spectators have seen the first two stages of this great race. There are some great bike trails in the area, please enjoy them.
